Olivia is 8 months old today!
We received our state approval today and our I-600 has been sent out. In 3-4 weeks we should receive an invitation to go for more fingerprinting!

Details
Ok - finally some details about our little Olivia. She was born September 24, 2009. Currently she weighs 8.95 kilograms (about 19.7 pounds) and is 69.8 cm tall (about 27.5 inches). She also has 3 teeth!
We also gave our agency the first care package to send Olivia. We were able to send 3 shirts, 2 pants, 3 socks, a photo album with pics of us, and 2 toys - all in a gallon zipper bag! I do hope the 12 month size clothes fit!

Last week on Thursday our acceptance package was sent to Korea and our state packet was going out on Friday. That's all we know so far, but I'm planning to check in tomorrow with our agency.

Olivia

Yesterday, Dave and I accepted our referral and welcomed little Olivia Marie EunJae West in to our lives. She is 7.5 months old and perfect, beautiful, wonderful - everything!
We are so very excited and I'm posting her referral picture her to be seen. More to come - as soon as I have time and can think of something to say - besides perfect, beautiful, wonderful :) But really what else is there?

No referrals yet for the new year, so we are still #5 - but I know we're almost there. :)

Almost Christmas!
Well, 6 1/2 months later, I'm adding a new entry to my blog...I'm going to have to get better at this. Here's the udpate:
On the baby front: We are now #5 on our waiting list for our precious little girl! Our homestudy is complete and has been approved. Of course, our social worker is absolutely wonderful - thanks Laurel! The baby quilt quilt-top (that just sounds funny) is complete! I'll take pics tonight and post.
Dave is on a cultural immersion trip for the holiday - he left on 12/18 and will return on 1/4 - Taiwan, Hong Kong, and China. He's supposed to go to the Foster Home office in Beijing and take some pictures/video for our agency - which will be really cool.
Yes, I'm alone for the holidays (well, me and Jessie the wonderdog) - having lunch with the family and my friend Teresa (also alone) on Christmas - Ultimate Buffet here we come!
We didn't do anything exciting over the summer - Dave climbed some mountains and posted a bunch of pics on Facebook. I...made a lot of jewelry in my new style - did a holiday craft show in Nov and sold most of it - and there are a few pics to show for it. I'll try to post some later - as soon as I learn how to post pics of the baby quilt.
Merry Christmas!
